Just who is TealBrook Supplies anyway?

In 1991 Larry Drake and Mike Lundeen of Buffalo Minnesota were introduced to a new technology for water purification utilizing a highly concentrated form of iodine. Larry and Mike were not looking for a business, but with their contacts in the mission field they knew that if this pentaiodide resin did what the manufacturer claimed, it could not only save time and effort, it could save lives.

Together they began a business out of their homes and incorporated as Teal International Corporation. After the initial start up process Larry ran the business by himself and Mike went on to work for a Christian ministry. After three years the business had grown to be more than a part time affair and situations had changed for Larry and Mike. Larry was preparing to move his other business ventures out west to Utah. In January of 1995 Mike and Deb Lundeen took over sole proprietorship of the business and organized as TealBrook Supplies for Missionaries and in 2001 incorporated as TealBrook,Inc.

Deb grew up as an MK (missionary kid). Her parents are career missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Alaska. She and Mike met and married while Mike was on a short term mission trip in Alaska at Christian radio station KICY, Nome. They returned a few years later and served at KICY for another one and half years.

Mike grew up in a family that was familiar with home based businesses that have a ministry contact. In elementary school he helped his father with a small film library renting Christian 16mm films. Later he worked for ten years at his parents business, Gospel Thru Films in Minneapolis Minnesota.

Together Mike and Deb are the parents of two boys, Erik and Karl. Erik and his wife Cami live in Washington and are the proud parents of Chloe & Aydin. Karl and his wife Erin live in California and are finishing their educations there.

In our free time you'll probably find us exploring our new state of Colorado, either hiking, mountain biking or sea kayaking the local reservoir. We also devote a lot of our time to a local ministry that offers teaching and retreats.
